Most people who want to lose weight have tried many different diets over time. And most people who have lost weight, find that they put some or all of the weight back on again. Sometimes they even end up with more weight than they started off with. One of the reasons is that most weight-loss programmes only focus on making short-term changes. They tell you what to eat, when to eat, what to cut out and basically can overwhelm you with “nutritional rules” that you have to follow. Most programmes don’t address how to deal with triggers and cravings or deal with deep-rooted behaviours and thoughts that have led to weight gain.

I often say (and so did Einstein :-)) “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome”!

Isn’t it time that if you really want to lose weight you look at an approach that takes a holistic view and helps you to feel great, look great and achieve a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable. Following a healthy lifestyle isn’t just about diet or exercise. It’s also about feeling well, having lots of energy and having a positive attitude.

Isn’t it also time to realise that there is no quick fix out there to lose weight. I have looked for it myself for many years when I tried to lose weight. I was on the very same rollercoaster of trying out every diet that promised a quick fix and miracle results. But I guess you know this yourself, there is no quick fix that will last and I found that the only way to successfully lose weight and keep it off is to make small behaviour changes at a time.

You will achieve this by setting yourself small achievable weekly targets which will help you stay motivated lose weight. On the programme I will also help you deal with your triggers and cravings. Through my studies in psychology I have looked at research on what has been shown to be the most successful way of losing weight and keeping it off, and this is how the MIND OVER BODY WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMME was put together.

Losing weight and keeping it off is a skill. It’s like learning a new instrument, you will have to practice in order to master it. The more you practice, the better you get at it. A fit and healthy body needs a fit and healthy mind, and we will train your body and train your mind to help you lose weight for the last time.

Through my own experience of weight loss combined with my training in psychology, I will help you figure out what your triggers are and give you coping strategies. I will also show you how to change your habits and figure out how to make sustainable changes to your lifestyle. My focus is on behaviour changes that will lead to lasting weight loss. I do this by taking care of my clients in small groups, which guarantees personal attention and I provide you with scientifically proven tools to help you overcome yo-yo dieting.
