A recent study published in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition (Gillison et al, 2015) confirmed again the effectiveness of a group-based program in helping people who want to change their behaviour towards healthy eating and physical activity. The program in this study, which is very similar to the program we run at Body Mind Balance, helped to promote motivation, how to deal with trigger situations, how to engage social support, helped people to understand the change process, goal setting and self monitoring.
This study found that the group-based program showed a significant improvement towards healthy eating behaviour when compared to other programs.
This study confirms again, as do many others, that the program we provide to our clients is based on scientific research and is the most successful method to help you achieve lasting weight loss and help you reach your fitness goals.
